UKIP lose desposit in Bradford West by-election disaster

Posted by juniusukip on March 30, 2012

A truly terrible result for UKIP. And yet the Farage sycophants seem to think that a pathetic 1.31% increase in the vote, losing your deposit and coming fifth behind the Lib Dems – the party that Farage claimed UKIP had replaced as Britain’s third party – is cause for celebration!

It is interesting to note that the usual sycophants were claiming that UKIP would come third with a substantial increase in the vote. How foolish must they feel now!

And what a tragedy for Britain that the odious Galloway has been returned to Westminster!

It is also  interesting to note that Galloway got almost 56% of the vote. Compare this result with the last time Farage contested a Westminster by-election. He was contesting a seat where Labour and the Lib Dems were not fielding candidates. UKIP poured money into the campaign and brought in dozens of activists to leaflet and canvass on behalf of Farage. And the result? The UKIP leader came third behind an independent, pro-EU candidate! LINK

UKIP will never send an MP to Westminster under Farage. UKIP exists to keep Nigel and his sycophants on the EU Gravy Train. It exists to serve his vanity and increase the size of his bank balance at the expense of party members and the UK taxpayer.

The full Bradford West result (with share of the vote and change since 2010 in brackets):

George Galloway (Respect) 18,341 (55.89%, +52.83%)
Imran Hussain (Lab) 8,201 (24.99%, -20.36%)
Jackie Whiteley (C) 2,746 (8.37%, -22.78%)
Jeanette Sunderland (LD) 1,505 (4.59%, -7.08%)
Sonja McNally (UKIP) 1,085 (3.31%, +1.31%)
Dawud Islam (Green) 481 (1.47%, -0.85%)
Neil Craig (D Nats) 344 (1.05%)
Howling Laud Hope (Loony) 111 (0.34%)

UKIP: Gerard Batten MEP and the Far-right

Posted by juniusukip on March 29, 2012

Gregory Lauder-Frost is a controversial figure. Whilst working as a payroll operations manager he admitted to eight specimen charges of embezzling £110,000 from Riverside health authority in 1992 and was jailed for two years. The court was told he had channelled money into extreme right-wing political causes.

This was not his only brush with the law, as it emerged at the end of his trial that he had also been implicated in attempts to sell elderly Russian arms to far right groups in the USA.

Lauder-Frost has a history of far-right connections, including with Clive Derby-Lewis who was jailed for life for his role in the murder of the ANC leader Chris Hani.

During his involvement with the white supremacist ‘Western Goals’, the group’s magazine, European Dawn, carried an interview with Franz Shonuber, a former SS officer. It was claimed by The Scotsman newspaper in 1987 that Western Goals may have been used by its U.S. associates as a conduit for funds to the Nicaraguan Contras following the Contragate scandal.

In December 2006, Lauder-Frost’s name was found on a leaked copy of the BNP membership list.

On April 23rd 2010 Lauder Frost presided over a dinner at the National Liberal Club which was attended by, amongst others, Adrian Davies (former barrister to holocaust denier David Irving), and Sam Swerling (a BNP member). Lauder-Frost was an associate of the late Mike Smith, a notorious far-right figure, and kept company with Stuart Milson, an-ex BNP member and self-confessed fascist.

The Monarchist league, Western Goals, the Conservative Democratic Alliance, the Monday Club, the list of failed right-wing groups associated with Lauder-Frost goes on and on.

Now there is yet another of these right-wing entities, The Traditional Britain Group, and guess who is Vice-President? You guessed it – Gregory Lauder-Frost!

The group held a dinner in London in November, and boasted a guest speaker – UKIP MEP Gerard Batten. This was held at the Charing Cross Hotel, which was previously the venue for a notorious dinner held by Western Goals in 1991 in honour of their guest, Jean Marie Le Pen, of the French Front Nationale. Western Goals also held a dinner to commemorate the life of General Franco, and have met with Alessandra Mussolini.

Given that Batten is implicated in certain allegations that have been subject to legal process, is it wise for him to be seen publicly associating with such people? While Farage struggles to dismiss charges that UKIP sits with racists and extremists in the European Parliament, Batten takes the decision to speak at a meeting that clearly positions him alongside some of the most notorious right wing elements on the lunatic fringe of British politics.

UKIP: Farage critic removed and more Steve Allison

Posted by juniusukip on March 29, 2012

Martin Harvey

Farage critic removed

We note that Martin Harvey – UKIP Branch Chairman, former PPC, former NEC candidate and Farage critic – has been removed as chairman of the Harlow branch in the Eastern Region. The meeting to remove him was held last weekend. Mr Harvey has been a stern critic of UKIP’s corrupt leadership for many years. His recent criticism of the proposed constitutional changes was seen by UKIP’s leadership as the final straw. He was also accused – without proof – of supplying information to GLW and this blog.

We note that the odious Peter Reeve and the regional chairman (Reeve’s lackey) attended the meeting to ‘advise’ members to vote against Mr Harvey in the ‘interests’ of the party.

GLW has also mentioned this on twitter. We note that super efficient UKIP has yet to remove Harvey’s name from the UKIP website. He is still listed as branch chairman: LINK

Steve Allison accused of trying to get UKIP candidates elected through the back door

Steve Allison looks forward to reading the next Junius and GLW postings about him

Interesting article on Steve Allison and his new ‘party’!

THE chairman of UKIP’s Hartlepool branch said claims the formation of a new political party is an attempt to get their councillors elected by the back door are “nonsense”.

Hartlepool Independents – Putting Hartlepool First was accused of trying to deceive voters in an email circulated to all councillors earlier this week.

Party members denied the accusations and Eric Wilson, chairman of the UKIP Hartlepool branch, has also slammed the claims.

Mr Wilson said: “The suggestion that the formation of Hartlepool Independents is an attempt by UKIP to get councillors elected by the back door is nonsense.

“UKIP want our candidates to be elected on their own merits.”

It comes after an email from former UKIP councillor and Hartlepool Independents secretary Stephen Allison, dating back to last July, was leaked by former UKIP member Stephen Haddow.

Mr Haddow said Hartlepool Independents – Putting Hartlepool First was deliberately created and registered in a bid to elect UKIP councillors by the back door.

At the time Mr Allison was vice chairman of UKIP and a member of the party’s national executive committee. But he severed all links with UKIP last November.

The email was a report of an NEC meeting which featured talks about “dual candidates”, something Mr Allison said he was pushing for at the time.

In the email, Mr Allison said: “If, for example, an organisation called Hartlepool Independents or Hartlepool Residents was registered with the Electoral Commission, UKIP could reach an agreement to field joint candidates.

“The ballot paper could say Hartlepool Independent and UKIP candidate or Hartlepool Residents and UK Independence Party candidate.”

Mr Wilson said: “I question Mr Haddow’s motives for leaking the email weeks before important local elections. It’s a pathetic attempt to discredit UKIP and Hartlepool Independents.

“Mr Haddow claims to be a former member of UKIP. He has never been a member of the Hartlepool branch and to my knowledge has never requested information about UKIP.”

Mr Wilson said UKIP intended to put forward candidates in all 11 wards for the all-out local elections in May in which the number of councillors will be cut from 47 to 33 and the number of wards reduced from 17 to 11.

Councillor Geoff Lilley, leader of Hartlepool Independents, previously said: “Hartlepool Independents has no links to UKIP. I am not, and never have been, a member of UKIP.”
Mr Allison said: “There is no link between Hartlepool Independents and UKIP.”

The party is registered with the Electoral Commission as Hartlepool Independents – Putting Hartlepool First.

Steve Allison: UKIP’s Idiot of the Month

Posted by juniusukip on March 28, 2012

Steve Allison: More stupid than he looks
We had hoped that Mr Allison’s experiences on UKIP’s undemocratic NEC had knocked some sense into him. LINK. We were wrong!
Mr Allison has been busy trying to persuade concerned UKIPPERS that the recent 92% Yes vote to change UKIP’s constitution was untainted by the stench of corruption and vote rigging.
He was most upset that we chose to repeat allegations – made by many UKIPPERS – that the vote had been rigged. LINK. We had no idea that Mr Allison believed in suppressing freedom of speech within UKIP. So they have no right to express their concerns? He gets more like Nigel with every passing day!
Mr Allison honestly expects UKIPPERS to believe that 92% of party members voted to give Farage dictatorial powers. The last leader to get 92% voter approval was Hitler! Mr Allison is clearly more stupid than he looks!
Mr Allison posted several comments on Dr Edmond’s blog regarding the vote. It is interesting to note that he admits that UKIP’s leadership refused to allow 6 independent members of the party to observe the count. This should have sent out warning signals to even the most stupid. A party that had nothing to hide would have been more than happy to let members attend the vote.
Allison also admits that the party leadership declined to use the Electoral Reform Service for the vote. Another warning sign but one that Mr Allison is clearly too stupid to heed. He claims that it would have “cost too much”. Dr Edmond asked Mr Allison the following:
Steve when I got a quote from the ERS to handle MEP list voting it was virtually the same price as UKIP doing it themselves. What were your organisations costs compared to the ERS? Did you get a quote from ERS?
Mr Allison declined to answer these questions by claiming it was “pretty academic”. We’ll take that as a no then!
Hold me, Nigel! A couple made in Heaven ……. or so Jon would love to think
And let us not forget that Jonathan ‘frightened rabbit’ Arnott was the returning officer for the election. Arnott is so far up Nigel’s arse that he has forgotten what the Sun looks like. You couldn’t have picked a more untrustworthy person to oversee the election but try telling Allison that!
That Steve Allison could so easily been hoodwinked by Farage tells us all we need to know about this failed wannabe MEP and his naivety.
This is what GLW had to say on the subject:
Hi,

sadly UKIP has a clear and undeniable track record of fiddling internal elections and thus regardless of Steve Allison’s offensive rejoinder.

May I suggest people study the abuse of the internet by extremist UKIP staff such as the odious and utterly dishonest Mark Croucher also the official censures of UKIP by The Data Protection Commission.

I appreciate there are those who were and are on the payrpll and seeking preferment on the gravy train who have and do lie about UKIP for personal gain.

One need only consider Nigel’s right hand Ms. Annabelle Fuller the foul mouthed liar who helped rig one of UKIP’s elections.

Steve Allison must be describing the deficiency of Farage’s testese or perhaps his own – Clearly his statement is wrong, untrue, unsound and dishonest!

One need only consider the liar and cheat Mick McGough and his criminal offensive spamming and serial dishonesty and corruption to PROVE Steve Allison’s claims to be false.

Just look at the calliber of the self seekers on The NEC and the lack of ethics of those who remain as UKIP MEPs

Pwehaps someone can cite an example, outside of dictatorships & the third world where a 92% vote – the only mittigation being that the ONLY publicity on the imposition of the new dictatorial and centra;ised Constitution was staggeringly dishonest – little wonder that UKIP completely reversed its vote when last this undemocratic concept was put forward.

Clearly 92% return from the claimed membership list is in itself far from plausible let alone that they ALL voted in favour of an EU style centralised dictatorship – Even going so far as to use The EU’s corrupt methods of if you don’t get the result you want represent the question and bully the victims to vote agai.

May I suggest a perusal of Nigel Farage’s various speeches in Ireland condemning the very methods he has chose to use for his own personal gain.

Sadly Steve Allison seems to be easily duped!

Regards,
Greg_L-W.

UKIP: Kent newspaper asks Nigel Farage is he value for money? He declines to answer!

Posted by juniusukip on March 27, 2012

Nigel Farage. On the EU Gravy Train and loving it!

This is Kent recently commented on Farage’s failure to publish his allowances, plus the fact that he pays his wife. LINK. A clearly rattled Farage personally declined to comment on these awkward facts and got Annabelle Fuller – his mistress and ‘assistant’ – to claim that he had ‘lost’ the receipts. Yeah right! That’s about convincing as Annabelle’s story about that Moroccan taxi driver story! Link. You know you’re in trouble when you have to resort to getting the disgraced and discredited Fuller to defend you! For more on Fuller: LINK

Ms Fuller: Friend of Morrocan taxi drivers, collector of Blackberry phones and a millstone around Farage’s neck

It is intersting to note that This is Kent conducted a survey to see how many people recognised their MEP. Only three in a hundred could name Farage! We hear that Nigel was most upset upset upon hearing this revelation. So much for all those appearances on Question Time and the Daily Politics!

The Kent and Sussex Courier also contacted Farage and asked if he was value for money. He declined to answer. Says it all, really!

From This is Kent:

Are our MEPs worth £157k?

THEY were mistaken for Arthur Scargill, Richard Attenborough and Gillian McKeith, the peculiar woman from TV programme You Are What You Eat who made her name by analysing human waste.
Sadly, the truth was far less interesting. The Courier took to the streets of Tunbridge Wells last week to conduct a survey of 100 people to see whether they could identify their ten Members of European Parliament.

Three others managed to guess UKIP’s leader Nigel Farage.

But for the remaining 96 per cent of respondents, the closest they could get was a quizzical “are they councillors?”

For many, the European Union remains a mysterious monolith and, if our survey is anything to go by, its players are as obscure as ever.

Yet the basic salary for an MEP of e95,484 (£79,400) is considerably more than the basic salary of an MP in the House of Commons. They earn £65,700.

This is before the e303 they get for every day they attend the European Parliament – an average of 142 times a year for our MEPs.

They also take sizeable chunks of money to fund their offices and pay staff salaries.

Three of them – Richard Ashworth, Nirj Deva and Nigel Farage – admit to employing members of their own families.

It begs the question: what exactly do they do?

The Courier contacted all the South East’s MEPs to ask precisely that.

The spokesman for Lib Dem Sharon Bowles described her role as “very extensive”, claiming she takes just two weeks’ holiday a year and works seven days a week.

He added: “She represents the residents of South East England in Parliament and answers their queries and helps them with problems that have some European aspect to them.”

Mrs Bowles’ Lib Dem colleague Catherine Bearder described herself as a “staunch supporter” of the EU, representing more than eight million people in an area stretching from Oxford down to East Sussex and Kent. London is not included.

She said: “I ensure environmental protection is at the heart of European policy, campaign on social justice issues – significantly human trafficking – and push the huge benefits of an economic union.”

Keith Taylor is the region’s only representative from the Green Party.

He explained while the Greens accepted that the EU needed to become more democratic and accountable, some decisions had to be made at a European level.

“Most of our environmental legislation comes from the EU and there’s also EU legislation to protect consumer rights, animal welfare, human rights, health and people’s working conditions,” he said.

Labour’s Peter Skinner said it was his job to represent the interests of his constituents.

He added: “A lot of work needs to be done to make people feel connected to what happens in Europe and why it’s relevant to their day-to-day lives.

“However, as the single biggest market in the world, it is crucial to our exports and supports millions of jobs.”

Tory spokesman John Furbisher said they had led the way in openness and transparency, volunteering to publish their allowances online.

“Our expenses and staffing costs reflect the fact we are obliged to work and run offices in three countries: Britain, Belgium and France,” he added.

“Legislation passed in Brussels and Strasbourg has enormous impact on life and prosperity in Britain – and we are elected to bring a British Conservative influence to bear on that law-making and to represent our constituents.”

Since the Lisbon Treaty, the European Parliament has increased its powers and now shares legislation implementation with the 27 EU commissioners and the Council of the European Union, which comprises ministers from each home nation’s parliament.

But are they really worth all the money they are paid?

For the most part our MEPs evaded the question, except for Mrs Bearder who said: “Based on my workload, I feel the British taxpayer certainly gets value for money out of me as an MEP.

UKIP: And yet more dire election results

Posted by juniusukip on March 25, 2012

We note that Farage’s sycophants are still trying to claim that UKIP is surging ahead in the polls – despite all the evidence to the contrary. So why aren’t they winning seats? Coming third, fourth or last is hardly cause for celebration! So why has their vote dropped in many areas? Why are branches closing? These are questions that the sycophants are not prepared to answer.

The Grantham and Stamford branch was one of the most successful branches in UKIP. And yet it has now folded due to a collapse in membership. Only four member attended the last meeting and none were prepared to run it! Such is Derek “I luv a piece of cod” Clark’s legacy!

Braintree District – Braintree East: Lab 554, C 388, UKIP 131, Green 76, No description 32. (May 2011 – Three seats Lab 762, C 759, Lab 756, 710, C 691, 668, Green 297). Labour gain from C. Swing 5.9% C to Lab.

Braintree District – Geat Notley and Braintree West: C 532, Lab 232, UKIP 155, Green 61. (May 2011 – Three seats C 1435, 1418, 1211, Lab 407, 362, 306, Green 274). C hold. Swing 8.8% C to Lab.

Broxtowe Borough- Toton and Chillwell Meadows: C 831, Lab 385, Lib Dem 300, UKIP 228 . (May 2011 – Three seats C 1529, 1491, 1413, Lab 926, 925, 837, Lib Dem 377, 334, UKIP 305, Lib Dem 304). C hold. Swing 3.1% Lab to C. UKIP vote down 77 votes since May 2011.

Nottinghamshire County. – Chillwell and Toton: C 1958, Lib Dem 1375, UKIP 682. (June 2009 – Two seats – Two seats C 3388, 3356, Lab 1442, 1135, Lib Dem 1076, 998, UKIP 786, Green 658, BNP 546, Green 500). C hold. Swing 8.0% C to Lib Dem. UKIP vote down by 104 votes since 2009.

Scarborough Borough – Hertford: C 663, Lab 208, UKIP 126, Lib Dem 99. (May 2011 – Two seats Green 1192, C 902, 444, Lab 287). C gain from Green. Swing 11.7% Lab to C.

UKIP: Nigel Farage fails to publish his allowances ….. again

Posted by juniusukip on March 22, 2012

An excellent article that exposes the hypocrisy of Nigel Farage. His claim to have lost his receipts is a truly pathetic excuse. And he’s fooling no-one. So what about all the other times he failed to publish his allowances? Did he ‘lose’ the receipts for those? He clearly has much to hide!

Farage has the nerve to condemn the EU but is more than happy to ’employ’ his wife using EU money. So what does she do for the £25,000 plus? No-one knows for Farage refuses to provide details. And yet he has the cheek in the article to claim that he is not ‘feathering’ the Farage nest by employing her! So why is he employing her? Did he ever advertise the job that she is supposedly doing? The answer is no. And let us not forget that this EU money is British taxpayers money.

From This is Kent:

UKIP leader only MEP to not publish allowances

THE ever-vocal UKIP leader Nigel Farage, from Downe, is the only Member of the European Parliament in the South East who has not published his full allowances.

MEPs do not have to publish allowance details by European law, but the region’s nine other MEPs have chosen to do so.

Nigel Farage: Laughing all the way to the bank
In a statement from Mr Farage’s office, a spokesman said the details had not been put online because the receipts had been “lost somewhere in transportation” between Mr Farage and his accountant.

The last set of accounts he published, detailing his trips to the European Parliament, dates back to June 2010.

Mr Farage, who employs wife Kirsten on a salary of more than £25,000, funded by the taxpayer, insisted there was “no feathering of nests”.

Stridently anti-EU in his views, Mr Farage said: “Nothing about the EU gives value for money to Britain.

“I may be paid more than an MP but my constituency is bigger than many countries in the EU and there is no ‘feathering of nests’ in the Farage household, I can assure you.”

In a Kent survey conducted by our investigations editor Stuart Woledge to see how well people knew their MEPs, only three in 100 people identified Mr Farage.

UKIP’s Idiot of the Week: Stuart Agnew MEP

Posted by juniusukip on March 22, 2012

John Agnew – or Stuart as he likes to be known – is not the brightest of sparks.

He is a self-appointed expert on matters of which he knows nothing, but it is on the subject of climate change where he really provides the best entertainment. According to his blog, there is no such thing as global warming because it was a bit chilly on his farm last weekend. He writes “According to the last figures I heard, we had not actually warmed at all in the 2000s!” Where he heard that we can only speculate. Perhaps he was briefed on the subject by that other buffoon and wannabe Lord, Mad Monckton, UKIP’s resident loony.
Average temperatures for the period 2001-2010 were 0.20°C above those of 1991-2000. Not a particularly startling statistic, but one that exposes Agnew’s stupidity for what it is.
By extension, Agnew could argue that are no such things as tidal waves, because his farm was not hit by one last Tuesday. But that really is the level of intellect in Farage’s UKIP. And people wonder why the party is not taken seriously.

Yet another UKIP Round-Up

Posted by juniusukip on March 21, 2012

David Bannerman campaigns for the Tories in London. Someone please warn Boris!

David Bannerman is really trying to ingratiate himself with his new political masters in order to get the lead Tory MEP position (Eastern Region) in the next EU elections. He is now telephone canvasing for Boris Johnson in London. Someone should warn Boris that this serial liar is under investigation for fraud. OF/2010/0282. See: LINK

We wonder how the OLAF investigation is progressing? Will David tell us? You can contact David on 01954 210333 or 07796 225237. Email: office@dcbmep.org.

Roger Helmer’s begging letter

We note that Roger Helmer has sent out a begging letter to UKIPPERS. So how much does Mr Helmer intend to contribute to UKIP funds?

Some UKIPPERS still believe that Mr Helmer joined UKIP after seeing the light regarding the Tories and their stance on the EU. Think again! Helmer only left the Tories after failing to get his pal selected as his successor. He had a hissy fit and joined UKIP to rub their noses in it! LINK

Pan-European UKIP

Nigel Farage still plans to turn UKIP pan-European. And why? To get more money for himself and his cronies! Consider the above photo. UKIP are already putting out posters which link them with the pan-European EAF!
