UKIP: Nikki Sinclaire continues to get publicity

Posted by juniusukip on December 30, 2010

UKIP claim their failure to offer a defence was an administrative error. I for one am filled with confidence that they are competent to represent the British electorate in Europe. [/sarcasm]

Classic quote from a fellow blogger.

We note with amusement the increasingly desperate attempts by UKIP’s corrupt leadership to provide excuses as to why they recently failed to attend the above tribunal. Douglas ‘Himmler’ Denny is trying to blame Zuckerman for failing to pass the papers to the new secretary. Other senior UKIPPERS are blaming certain UKIP HQ staff.

We note with even more amusement the suggestions by Farage’s sycophants that Nikki is now part of a “establishment plot” to destabilise UKIP.

So can we assume that these congenital idiots also believe Farage to be part of this “establishment” conspiracy? After all, he was the one who pushed for her to be thrown out of UKIP!

And did you know that Nigel was most upset when Nikki’s victory against him and Bloom was featured in several national newspapers and on the BBC? He actually thought that they could keep it out of the media spotlight!

From the Pink Paper:

Nikki Sinclaire, a lesbian MEP, has won a case against her former colleagues in UKIP for sexual discrimination.

Sinclaire was ejected from the party after she refused to sit by certain members in the European Parliament – claiming that some of the party were homophobic.
The openly lesbian politician, who was also reportedly called “queer” by UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom, had a default judgement made in her favour after UKIP failed to lodge a defence following an administrative error.

Sinclaire, who now sits as an independent MEP for the West Midlands, said: “I’m very saddened by how this has all turned out. I have been trying to work for an out-of-court settlement, but at no point did UKIP come to me and say shall we talk about this?”

The judgement found that “The claim of sexual orientation discrimination is well founded.” It will be decided whether Sinclaire receives any compensation at a hearing on 29 December.

UKIP deny all the allegations.

UKIP: Pearson claims to have known nothing about bribes to Costa Rica

Posted by juniusukip on December 29, 2010

Lord Pearson – the Chairman of PWS at the time and former UKIP leader – has been busy telling anyone who will listen that he ‘knew nothing’ about £1.2 million being purloined from his company to be used as bribes in Costa Rica.

Bit worrying that Pearson didn’t even notice the loss of such a large sum of money! Just another UKIP style administrative error?

From the Guardian:

Former PWS boss Julian Messent jailed for 21 months

Julian Messent admits funnelling £1.2m of corrupt payments to Costa Rica officials

A former chief executive of a City firm who admitted paying bribes to win contracts overseas was today jailed for 21 months. Julian Messent, 50, resigned in 2006 as chief executive at insurance firm PWS – founded by former Ukip leader Lord Pearson – after admitting funnelling £1.2m worth of corrupt payments to government officials in Costa Rica between February 1999 and June 2002.

The payments were made while Messent was a director of the company’s international property division and his pay was directly linked to the amount of business he won, Southwark crown court heard. In 2003, he became the company’s CEO.

Sentencing him to 21 months in prison for his part in authorising 41 corrupt payments in exchange for the contracts, Judge Rivlin told him his offences justified a four- to five-year prison sentence but that he had taken into account his early guilty plea and that he was a family man of previous good character.

The judge said: “It is plain, Mr Messent, that you were deeply involved in the decision making and the process of these crimes. You orchestrated them.”

He also barred Messent from serving as a company director for five years and ordered him to pay the “people and government of Costa Rica” £100,000 in compensation within 21 days.

UKIP: Mike Nattrass in the Express

Posted by juniusukip on December 27, 2010

From the Express:

EU BOSSES are wasting thousands of pounds of British taxpayers’ money by keeping hundreds of lights burning all night in empty offices at the Strasbourg Parliament.

A fortune is spent every year illuminating and heating rooms which are unused for weeks on end.

The flagrant waste also makes a mockery of the EU’s attempts to reduce its carbon footprint and deliver a “low-energy economy”.

MEPs gather at the £400million building, on France’s border with Germany, for just four days every month.

UKIP MEP Mike Nattrass, who took this picture, last night branded the waste “disgraceful”. He photographed lights blazing away in the Parliament’s main Louise Weiss building and in the adjoining Winston Churchill block.

Light switches and radiators were left on in empty offices, hallways and even the canteen on Thursday evening, long after Eurocrats had packed up and left.

Mr Nattrass, MEP for the West Midlands, added: “This is just another example of the EU gravy train. This has gone on for too long, I am sick and tired of walking past the Strasbourg Parliament and seeing all the office lights left on when nobody is in them.

“On Thursday, voting finished just after midday and MEPs all started to drift off as usual. Hours later I took photographs of light beaming out of the Louise Weiss building and it wasn’t from one room but lots of them.

“I then went into the building the following day on Friday and checked to see if the heating was on and it was. The place was virtually deserted.

“Hardworking Britons will be sick to their stomachs to know their cash is being wasted in this manner. It’s absolutely disgraceful.”

Mr Nattrass also revealed that the majority of the 2,000 offices inside the Parliament have showers, washbasins and TVs that can pick up channels from all over the world. “It’s needless,” he said. “I’ve never used the shower in my office as long as I’ve been an MEP. Why would I need to? I have one before I leave the hotel in the morning.”

The monthly jaunt from the European Parliament in Brussels Belgium to Strasbourg, 216miles away, is estimated to cost the public an annual £200million.

Yet MEPs are there for voting sessions on just 48 days a year. Moving various files and equipment between the two cities takes 30 men and 10 large trucks.

The huge cost involved has led to repeated calls to have Brussels as the sole location of the Parliament.

UKIP: A Christmas Appeal

Posted by juniusukip on December 26, 2010

Have you seen these missing MEPs? They were last seen licking Farage’s boots in a seedy hotel in Brussels. We now fear for their safety as they both failed to attend the odious Paul Nuttall’s ‘Love the Fuhrer Fest’ in Bootle.

But we have one clue. Within an hour of their disappearance a certain Nigel Farage was spotted throwing two very heavy sacks into a lake near Waterloo.

Here is the last known photograph of Dartmouth. Two hours later he vanished!

UKIP: More Nikki and Stuart Agnew’s Christmas Message

Posted by juniusukip on December 24, 2010

FROM NIKKI SINCLAIRE’s BLOG

UKIP, Farage and Bloom have applied to the Tribunal to have the judgement ‘set aside’ on the basis of an administrative error. That all three forgot they had to reply to the claims against them and there was a mix up in all three of their diaries. The ET rules were recently changed allowing respondents 28 days rather than 14 days to reply to allow for due consideration etc.

I note that Nigel was elected under the banner of professionalising the party and the new Party Secretary, Michael Greaves, a Barrister admits to have been at fault here.

The Tribunal Judge has decided not to accept their application without hearing their application IN PERSON and a hearing will be scheduled in due course. The rules state that at least 14 days notice must be given for a hearing. Therefore, currently the Judgement remains in force and the Remedy hearing postponed.

As this hearing will heard due to the negligence of UKIP, Farage and Bloom; they will be expected to pay the costs of all sides in full.

It is interesting to note that UKIP’s corrupt leadership claim their failure to attend was due to an admin error. We have copies of messages where certain senior UKIPPER are discussing the upcoming case! Forget they did not!

Being rude to foreigners, attempting to have sex with a pole-dancer, trousering £2million that he can’t account for, and being found guilty of homophobia. Oh yes, Farage is really projecting the UKIP message with style.

This is what Geoffrey Collier – long-term UKIPPER – had to say:

I like to remain impartial in these matters, and discuss objectively that which we know. My best informants tell me that the ‘administrative error’ resulted from UKIP’s senior legal adviser, who is also a part time self-filler at Asda’s store, working additional shifts due to the ‘Christmas rush’, and she does admit that those extra duties were responsible for that administrative error which was to the disadvantage of UKIP. In addition, she is a mother to numerous small children, all of whom like to visit their respective fathers during the Festive Season. Travelling commitments, therefore, must be identified as another reason for understandable neglect of her duties to the Party.

In UKIP’s submission why the Tribunal judgement should be ‘set-aside’, much of the blame is placed on Nikki Sinclaire herself: this was a self-inflicted problem of her own making, they argue. Her much vaunted long-service to the Party, could leave no reasonable judge in any doubt that Sinclaire would have been fully aware of the constant struggle by UKIP’s law officer to balance legal-argument, shelf-filling, and nappy-changing with her additional seasonal distractions. Sinclaire’s decision to arrange her tribunal-date to coincide with Christmas week, was a blatant abuse of the legal process; the judgement should be set-aside, a new date set, and favourable consideration should be given to UKIP’s legal costs.

As a humble chronicler of this ‘Christmas Strory’, I have endeavoured to convey the facts as I have received them.

A failure to attend court when the issue involves UKIP is the traditional response of the Party. Croucher failed to appear at Cardiff, as did his witnesses Paul Nuttall. No serious effort was made in matters affecting John West. Indeed, the judge was informed that UKIP’s solicitor understood that lawyers were not allowed to appear in small-claims courts. Yesterday was merely a continuation of same incompetence. In every instance UKIP lost. The tribunal yesterday was in Exeter close to the UKIP H.Q. It is inconceivable that UKIP were not informed, but they chose to ignore the matter. At a high salary, Steve Crowther has been appointed regional organiser for the south-west; what did he do to ensure correct Party representation at the tribunal? Farage told us that should he be elected leader, two things would result.

Professionalism would be the hallmark of the Party. Secondly, numerous wealthy people were waiting to make significant financial contributions to the Party, but that was dependent upon his election in order to ensure that their money fell into the hands of someone of proven financial competence and moral rectitude. As Niall has told you a million time; corruption at the centre has rotted the Party to periphery. Change and not fatuous explanations are what are needed. ‘By their fruits ye shall know them’; and sadly much of UKIP’s fruit is rotten. Those are the FACTS, dispute them if you can.

End of quotes. The originals can be found here: LINK

This case has received widespread coverage in the press and on the blogs. Another own goal for Farage and his sycophants!

Nikki Sinclaire wins her case against UKIP!

Posted by juniusukip on December 22, 2010

Excellent news! Just how many times does Farage and his sycophants have to lose a case before they finally realise that even they are not above the law? But will she get an apology from UKIP’s NEC? Will she hell!

Farage and the whole bent lot should resign and crawl back into the gutter from whence they came. They are a disgrace to the whole Euro-realist movement!

PRESS RELEASE

NIKKI SINCLAIRE MEP SUCCEEDS IN HOMOPHOBIA CASE AGAINST UKIP

Issue date: Wednesday, December 22nd 2010

Nikki Sinclaire MEP has won her claim against the UK Independence Party on the grounds of Sexual Orientation Discrimination with her claim being described by Employment Judge Harper as ‘well founded’. A Remedy Hearing to determine which sanction will be taken will take place on the 29th December 2010.

Ms. Sinclaire claimed her treatment by UKIP was partly due to her refusal to sit in the European Parliament with the Europe of Freedom and Democracy (EFD) Group which shares an allegiance with UKIP due to her misgivings about the ‘offensive’ ideology of Liga Nord and other extreme right-wing parties in the coalition. She states after her refusal, a campaign of intimidation followed from UKIP members, including Nigel Farage and Godfrey Bloom which resulted in the whip being removed and her being prevented from standing for the UK Independence Party as a parliamentary candidate in the General Election without any disciplinary procedure. Furthermore, other UKIP MEPs who refused to sit with EFD including Mike Nattrass were still allowed to represent UKIP which she believes is an example of the deep rooted homophobia within the party.

Additionally, Ms. Sinclaire who is openly gay was subjected to discrimination by senior party members such as Godfrey Bloom who labelled her a ‘queer’.

The Remedy Hearing will be held at Exeter Employment Tribunal at 10.30am. Nikki states, ‘I am extremely pleased with the tribunal’s decision. The treatment I received from UKIP is a sad indictment of how politics in the UK has not kept up in the 21st century. I have as much right as everyone else to express my beliefs and ask others to support my views. I should not have to suffer from such behaviour’.
